Become a Grant Reviewer
Our volunteer reviewers assist in reading and evaluating the hundreds of project applications for grant funding HumanitiesDC receives every year. This short-term volunteer assignment is a great opportunity to use your skills to improve our community and meet other people who share your passion for the District’s heritage and preservation activities.
If you’re interested in being considered, please complete the online application form. We accept applications year-round so that we have talented teams in place by review time.
Grant reviewers review up to 15 grants and attend a 2.5-hour weekday panel discussion (12:00pm to 2:30pm with lunch provided). All DC residents with an interest in humanities, heritage, and preservation are encouraged to apply. You can participate on one or more of the program areas.
