Please join us for the first Humanitini of 2020 on January 9th! This historic documentary chronicles the creation and the development of LeDroit Park and the contributions made by the African-Americans who have lived there for over 100 years. It is because of their pioneering work that LeDroit Park has become an American treasure.
Following the screening a panel of experts on gentrification and its effect on DC communities will have a moderated discussion and audience Q&A. The event is being held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm at Busboys and Poets, 2021 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009.
