There are many ways to donate to HumanitiesDC and support our efforts to preserve and promote the District’s unique culture and history.  You can show your support as an individual or corporate donor – every dollar donated goes to programs that record and archive our community’s history and builds opportunities for future generations.

Matching Gifts

Most employers in the DC metro area have an employer match program for charitable gifts. Check with your Human Resources department to learn what your employer offers and your gift could be doubled – or even tripled!

Gifts of Other Assets

While a cash donation is the easiest way to support HumanitiesDC, giving assets such as stocks, bonds or property can provide you with a charitable deduction and may also offer additional tax savings. If you are interested in donating stock or securities, please contact us at (202) 747-6470.

Planned Giving

Leave a legacy! Include HumanitiesDC in your will or trust. Your retirement accounts, life insurance policies, or savings and investment accounts are very likely a significant portion of your net worth. Due to special tax considerations, they could make an excellent choice for funding a charitable gift.
